A Will story I had to share

I had to share this story with you guys. Yesterday after church we were heading to lunch and I was asking Will what he learned at church that morning. He said, "Jesus". I knew they were learning about Jesus and Zaccheus so I said, "Did you learn about anyone else? Did you learn about Zaccheus too?" He said, "No". I said, "Didn't you learn about Zacheus, the tax collector, and how Jesus loved him and taught him about God?" He said, "No, Mommy, we didn't learn about Jesus and Zaccheus. We learned about Jesus and Ikea." Cracked me up!!!!!!!!! I always knew there was something special about shopping at Ikea! HA! :)

Snips and Snails

I just had to share these pictures of our boys, Samuel and Wilson. Why do boys love creepy crawlies so much? ha!! Samuel was so excited to find this little lizard outside today. He was so brave to pick it up (first time ever) and was just amazed by this little guy.
Wow! It's hard to believe we are soon incorporating a land of pink, barbies, and dolls into our home. It is definitely going to be a whole new ball game for us.
The boys, Eric and I are all sooooooo excited to think that this time next month we will be in Taiwan and will be getting ready to bring Emma home!

Emma Szu Yu's Shower

Some friends from church had a shower for me Sunday in honor of Emma Szu Yu's arrival. It was SO MUCH fun!! It was a sea of pink. We had a ball. I can't wait to share all of this with Emma soon.

WE HAVE A TRAVEL DATE!!

We are thrilled to announce we officially have a TRAVEL DATE!! We have an appointment Tuesday, April 1st in Taiwan to meet our daughter and a few days later bring her home. We are super excited and have the days counted!! Thank you for all of your prayers and for your continued prayers for Emma Szu Yu, us, Samuel, Wilson and all of the life changes that are soon happening in all of our lives. This is an incredible time!

Flat Stanley

 

Samuel had a homework project for school. His teacher has been reading the Adventures of Flat Stanley to the class. The class each got their own Flat Stanley and were able to create thier own adventure. Of course, Samuel's involved hunting, fishing,camo and playstation with Daddy. It was so cute. He really enjoyed creating his own Stanley and writing a journey page of Stanley's adventures with him.
We should know a definite travel date this week. We have heard from our agency and are trying to work out some travel date details. I will definitely post as soon as we know for sure.

Having Fun while we wait

We are still waiting to hear a travel date. We know we will hear our date soon. Our agency contacted us this week to tell us they hope to hear a date from St. Lucy's either this Friday or next week. We are SUPER excited and ready to go!! Meanwhile, the fun goes on at the Echols' house. Never a DULL moment with two little boys running around. Here is a hysterical picture I took this week of bath time. The boys thought it was so funny that Daddy fixed their hair into mohawks during bath time. TOO CUTE!! Keep praying for Emma Szu Yu and for a travel date to be announced SOON (today would be good--ha!).

All Registerred and Waiting for our travel date

We had such a fun time registering for Emma Szu Yu this week. We registered at Target and at Pottery Barn Kids. I had no idea there were so many cute, girly things in this world! How fun!
We are looking forward to celebrating Chinese New Year soon. It begins Feb. 7th in Taiwan. Our agency says we will know our travel date after Chinese New Year--hopefully we will find out more the week of February 15th. We will keep you posted.
