Thursday's Scoop

We began our day with an appointment at AIT. We picked up Emma Szu Yu's passport! So, she is all set now to head back home to the US! That was exciting. Then off to Taipei 101, the tallest building in Taiwan. On the way we stopped off at a candy shop. She picked out some candy that was really good...but I had never seen any candy like that. The boys would have had a ball in the candy shop. We picked out some candy to take home as well. Taipei 101 was really great. Lots of shops and places to eat. We had a good lunch..noodles and chicken for me. Then up an elevator to the top of Taipei 101. Unfortunately it was rainy and cloudy so we couldn't see much of the city. But, Emma Szu Yu discovered the digital camera when we were there and had fun taking some pictures of "Mama and Baba". I know what she will be wanting soon..a camera of her own...just like her big brother, Samuel does. After our big excursion we came back and rested and played in the hotel for the rest of tonight. She was having so much fun playing she didn't want to go to bed. She went fine but wasn't too thrilled about it. :) Hmmm..sounds like most four year olds I know. We have continued to do well communicating despite our lack of knowledge of Mandarin. Eric has been super since he knows some and is able to tell me a lot of the times what Emma is trying to tell me. That has been a huge blessing. We got to talk to the boys on the web cam this AM which was super! We have plans to site see with the other family that is here tomorrow. We are hoping for some sunshine...it has rained a lot. We will keep you posted. Thank you again for all of your prayers this week! We continue to feel them each day. Please continue to pray for Emma, us, and the boys. Have a great day!

Love these posts! Your daughter Emma is so very sweet! Praying for a hassle free flight home! Keep me in mind as you adjust over the next several months if I can be of any support!
